Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vytis Kucys came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Apytalaukis's Artūras Pikelis. But to his dismay, Artūras Pikelis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tomas Aleksonis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apytalaukis's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Aleksonis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vytis Kucys breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gvidonas Kudzma kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Tomas Aleksonis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vytis Kucys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artūras Pikelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vytis Kucys made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Artūras Pikelis sent off a good shot on target. Remigijus Brodovskis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justinas Genčiauskas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Tomas Aleksonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Regimantas Pyragis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tomas Aleksonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remigijus Brodovskis was the one to do the kick off. Almantas Budnikas kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Vilkavishkis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gvidonas Kudzma to maneuver through the defense. Gvidonas Kudzma kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Apytalaukis's Tomas Aleksonis got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vytis Kucys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Aleksonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Gintas Kupcinskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Justinas Genčiauskas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gintas Kupcinskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justinas Genčiauskas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vilkavishkis's zone, Artūras Pikelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vytis Kucys came out of the goal and Artūras Pikelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vilkavishkis's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
