It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 3rd minute, but Justinas Genčiauskas got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Apytalaukis hanging dry this time. Justinas Genčiauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mantas Marcelionis in the 8th minute of play. Jeronimas Januska struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Justinas Genčiauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pribziniai. In the 14th minute of the match, Gediminas Lunskis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Justinas Genčiauskas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 17 played minutes Pribziniai got a freekick which was hit by Augustinas Pikcilingis. Gediminas Lunskis had several of the Apytalaukis's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Justinas Genčiauskas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Justinas Genčiauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mantas Marcelionis in the 31st minute of play. The Apytalaukis fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Apytalaukis's Tomas Aleksonis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 39th minute Tomas Aleksonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigmas Janusonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artūras Pikelis in the 40th minute of play forced Pribziniai's goalkeeper Zigmas Janusonis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Apytalaukis booed when Pribziniai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimas Januska didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes Apytalaukis got a freekick which was hit by Karolis Poškus. The audience was convinced that Mantas Marcelionis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justinas Genčiauskas was relentless in the 49th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Aleksonis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artūras Pikelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zigmas Janusonis having to interfere. Almantas Budnikas kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Augustinas Pikcilingis did an outstanding performance 59 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-1 to the right of an irritated Justinas Genčiauskas in the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Karolis Poškus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apytalaukis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pribziniai the free kick. After 62 played minutes Apytalaukis got a freekick which was hit by Karolis Poškus. Augustinas Pikcilingis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Justinas Genčiauskas. Apytalaukis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Apytalaukis getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tomas Aleksonis hit a great ball. Zigmas Janusonis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romas Tamošaitis in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Apytalaukis's goal looked a bit too open when Gediminas Lunskis came free, but Justinas Genčiauskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Juozapas Davanauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artūras Pikelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zigmas Janusonis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artūras Pikelis ran back to his position shaking his head. If Artūras Pikelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Apytalaukis failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
