In the 2nd minute, Arnas Gelgota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, FC Pagausenay's Eugenijus Andriukaitis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vytis Kucys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gintas Kupcinskas kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Aurimas Guzauskas charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurimas Guzauskas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Pagausenay booed when Vilkavishkis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurimas Guzauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eugenijus Andriukaitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Remigijus Brodovskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulius Konsavicius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remigijus Brodovskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulius Konsavicius having to interfere. FC Pagausenay's Paulius Konsavicius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gintas Kupcinskas in the 31st minute of play. Paulius Konsavicius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigijus Brodovskis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigijus Brodovskis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Paulius Konsavicius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Cimermonas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Vilkavishkis getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Albertas Andriulis hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remigijus Brodovskis to make the kick off. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Vilkavishkis's Gvidonas Kudzma got a free kick in the 56th minute. During the 60th minute of the match Aivaras Kaulakis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aivaras Kaulakis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 61st match minute, FC Pagausenay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aivaras Kaulakis to maneuver through the defense. Eugenijus Andriukaitis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vytis Kucys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulius Konsavicius was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Remigijus Brodovskis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 67 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pagausenay's zone, Gintas Kupcinskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulius Konsavicius came out of the goal and Gintas Kupcinskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugenijus Andriukaitis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gvidonas Kudzma fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vilkavishkis's protests and gave Gvidonas Kudzma a yellow card for diving instead. Jonas Cimermonas struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Vytis Kucys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pagausenay. Paulius Konsavicius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gvidonas Kudzma in the 81st minute of the match. Gintas Kupcinskas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulius Konsavicius having to make a save. Aurimas Guzauskas got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 87th match minute, Vilkavishkis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurimas Guzauskas to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute FC Pagausenay were awarded a corner. Arnas Gelgota went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Arnas Gelgota got away a dangerous shot.
