Vytenis Balsevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelijus Mažutis having to interfere. When Vytenis Balsevičius came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Druckunai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vytenis Balsevičius couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the game, Vismantas Bendorius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Druckunai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cekuva the free kick. A collision led to Druckunai getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Vismantas Bendorius hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Jogaila Lungys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zenonas Gailys's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Aurelijus Mažutis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 18 minutes into the match, Cekuva's goalkeeper Aurelijus Mažutis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zenonas Gailys. Vytenis Balsevičius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adomas Malinauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zenonas Gailys got free with Aurelijus Mažutis in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelijus Mažutis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vytenis Balsevičius showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Vytenis Balsevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Druckunai's supporters rose to their feet, but Vytenis Balsevičius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelijus Mažutis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jogaila Lungys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jogaila Lungys to strike the kick off in the second half. If Sigitas Alksmantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience held their breath when Aloyzas Rupšys in the 91st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Stanislovas Mastavičius's left hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vytenis Balsevičius in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelijus Mažutis saved Cekuva from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Druckunai had won after a very even match.
