Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes Walford got a freekick which was hit by Salam Bahbhani. The crowd rose to their feet as Walford's Faisal Al Ghanem slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rashed Al Qattamy. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Falah Al Adsani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashed Al Qattamy having to interfere. Bader Al Sharah kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Fadhel Al Ghanem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Farhan Al Attar in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match Esam Al Shaikh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fadhel Al Ghanem skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Farhan Al Attar in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fadhel Al Ghanem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 31 minutes, Faisal Al Ghanem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walford and the Southwold players grew even worse after the yellow card. Faisal Al Ghanem hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Adem Khorshed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southwold's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adem Khorshed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abbas Dashti's late challenge caught a Southwold's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abbas Dashti helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Abbas Dashti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barakat Al Saleh's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Fadhel Al Ghanem - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faisal Al Ghanem was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Walford's goalkeeper Fadhel Al Ghanem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adem Khorshed blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fadhel Al Ghanem having to make a save. Faisal Al Ghanem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rashed Al Qattamy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Southwold was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fahad Al Naqi to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Southwold's goal looked a bit too open when Faisal Al Ghanem came free, but Rashed Al Qattamy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fadhel Al Ghanem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Farhan Al Attar, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Falah Al Adsani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 played minutes Southwold got a freekick which was hit by Gibrel Al Motar. Walford's Fadhel Al Ghanem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Walford from getting a goal against them. After 83 played minutes Walford got a freekick which was hit by Saif Al Motar. Farhan Al Attar struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Fadhel Al Ghanem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southwold. Falah Al Adsani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Southwold getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Mohammad Baroun hit a great ball. If Adem Khorshed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
