Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tariq Al Fadhalah got the match started through his kick off. Tariq Al Fadhalah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bassam Dashti having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Al Kuwait SC's Tariq Al Fadhalah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bassam Dashti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ali Hayat came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg's Jalal Al Khars. But to his dismay, Jalal Al Khars quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jalal Al Khars in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Hayat saved Al Kuwait SC from getting behind. When Ghasan Al Besher came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the SC Freiburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ghasan Al Besher couldn't finish the play. Ali Hayat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ghasan Al Besher in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg's goal looked a bit too open when Nizar Taiban came free, but Bassam Dashti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th match minute, SC Freiburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aadil Al Motaire to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg's goal looked a bit too open when Hamzah Al Amer came free, but Bassam Dashti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Nizar Taiban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bassam Dashti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Al Kuwait SC booed when SC Freiburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qutaiba Al Ghanem didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nizar Taiban in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bassam Dashti saved SC Freiburg from getting behind. SC Freiburg's Jalal Al Khars got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ghasan Al Besher to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fuad Al Jarah in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Hayat saved Al Kuwait SC from getting behind. Ali Hayat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ghasan Al Besher went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 64 played minutes Al Kuwait SC got a freekick which was hit by Aqel Al Shemali. Al Kuwait SC's Ali Hayat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jalal Al Khars in the 65th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Jalal Al Khars had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Hayat. Al Kuwait SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jalal Al Khars was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 76 minutes into the game, Aadil Al Motaire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Freiburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al Kuwait SC the free kick. Aadil Al Motaire kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, SC Freiburg's Bassam Dashti got control of the ball when Nizar Taiban tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ghasan Al Besher in the 80th minute of play forced Al Kuwait SC's goalkeeper Ali Hayat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Al Kuwait SC booed when SC Freiburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ghasan Al Besher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jalal Al Khars received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ali Hayat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Al Kuwait SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
