The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bahaa Al Ghanem during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to West Bridgford getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bahaa Al Ghanem hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as West Bridgford's Sultan Al Saffar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mosab Al Khames. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. Doaej Al Ghanem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doaej Al Ghanem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mosab Al Khames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Naem Al Besher scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jassem Al Herz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jassem Al Herz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naem Al Besher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mosab Al Khames made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doaej Al Ghanem in the 34th minute. Doaej Al Ghanem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Birkenhead AFC's Fahad Al Sarraf got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nasser Bo Shehri fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Bridgford's protests and gave Nasser Bo Shehri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Birkenhead AFC booed when West Bridgford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasser Bo Shehri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sultan Al Saffar made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Fahad Al Sarraf ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jassem Al Herz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fahad Al Sarraf came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jassem Al Herz could save by the left post. After having played for 60 minutes, Fahad Al Sarraf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birkenhead AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fahad Al Sarraf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mosab Al Khames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sultan Al Saffar, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Dhari Al Habshi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Fakher Al Motar, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Morjan Al Banai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jassem Al Herz having to interfere. If Fahad Al Sarraf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
