East Dulwich

Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Wilson Ruto made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Ngigi in the 7th minute of play forced Broughton Astley's goalkeeper Siaree Onyango to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joshua Ngigi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siaree Onyango having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Gideon Griffin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dan Oduor. East Dulwich's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gideon Griffin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joshua Ngigi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Siaree Onyango tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kibak Kevoo during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to East Dulwich getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kibak Kevoo hit a great ball. Dan Oduor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gideon Griffin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. East Dulwich's Dan Oduor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Ruto in the 37th minute of play. Dan Oduor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Ruto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siaree Onyango showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kibak Kevoo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. David Gichuki kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. East Dulwich's Daniel Keino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 42nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Siaree Onyango but with some difficulty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
53 minutes into the match, Broughton Astley's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Ngigi came free, but Siaree Onyango reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evans Muttendago in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siaree Onyango prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, East Dulwich's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Ruto came free, but Dan Oduor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gideon Griffin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Dan Oduor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Siaree Onyango took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Ngigi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes of play, East Dulwich's Evans Muttendago made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siaree Onyango was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Gichuki's late challenge caught a East Dulwich's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Gichuki helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72ndth minute of the game Joshua Ngigi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Broughton Astley's Siaree Onyango was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joshua Ngigi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 79 in the game by Gideon Griffin from a close distance when the talented Dan Oduor managed to make a qualified save. East Dulwich's players were relieved. When Broughton Astley's Wilson Ruto in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye East Dulwich's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, East Dulwich's Kibak Kevoo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Gideon Griffin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dan Oduor came out and tried to block the shot, but Gideon Griffin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 89th minute. The supporters of East Dulwich booed when Broughton Astley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Ruto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Broughton Astley players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
