With his leg Steven Jewson managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Harborne's Stephen Plumber fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Thomas Nethercoat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steven Jewson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louie Dove in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Harborne's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Nethercoat came free, but Vinnie Furniss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Meols booed when Harborne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zak Chadwick didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pierre Rashleigh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Nethercoat was the one to do the kick off. Steven Jewson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Plumber in the 63rd minute of the match. Steven Jewson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louie Dove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louie Dove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Meols got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Parks. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louie Dove in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steven Jewson saved Meols from getting behind. Meols's Thomas Nethercoat got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinnie Furniss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Nethercoat in the 80th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Harborne's Stephen Plumber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steven Jewson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Pierre Rashleigh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinnie Furniss having to interfere. Steven Jewson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louie Dove in the 97th minute of the match. Steven Jewson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louie Dove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harborne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
