Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Austin Ginn got the match started through his kick off. Carlton Walker was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Lenny Phippard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lenny Phippard really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Henry Banks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayden Mulford having to interfere. Hayden Mulford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Austin Ginn's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lenny Phippard to strike the kick off in the second half. Birmingham Selly Oak AFC were furious when Ian Starr was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Alton AFC a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Des Fieldwick, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's Carlton Walker. 2-2. Henry Banks's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hayden Mulford firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Lenny Phippard came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Alton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lenny Phippard couldn't finish the play. Lenny Phippard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lenny Phippard in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlton Walker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's goalkeeper Carlton Walker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henry Banks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Callum Shipley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Alton AFC booed when Birmingham Selly Oak AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvester Husband didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Henry Banks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Banks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Henry Banks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Banks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Hayden Mulford made a huge save. Dean Mason's late challenge caught a Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dean Mason helped the player get up and apologised. Dean Mason kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. If Callum Shipley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's goalkeeper Carlton Walker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
