Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chaliαs's Antonis Bletsas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonis Bletsas in the 5th minute of play forced Kothóni's goalkeeper Koulis Kastanidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Antonis Bletsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koulis Kastanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panagiotis Koskinopoulos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theagenis Makrigiannis in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonis Bletsas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Koulis Kastanidis saved Kothóni from getting behind. When Dimitris Poursalidis came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Kothóni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitris Poursalidis couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Antonis Bletsas made a precise shot to the right of Koulis Kastanidis. Kothóni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 45 minutes into the match, Kothóni's goal looked a bit too open when Antonis Bletsas came free, but Koulis Kastanidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dimitris Poursalidis made a kick off. Koulis Kastanidis stood somewhat misplaced when Antonis Bletsas came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 60 minute. When Panos Prezas came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Chaliαs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Prezas couldn't finish the play. Panos Prezas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Kothóni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Anestis to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes Kothóni got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Anestis. A hard shot by Soulis Vranas from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Koulis Kastanidis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Chaliαs's Panagiotis Koskinopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theagenis Makrigiannis in the 79th minute of play. Dimitris Poursalidis took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Panagiotis Koskinopoulos. Panagiotis Koskinopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 91st minute Antonis Bletsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koulis Kastanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panagiotis Koskinopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Poursalidis in the 93rd minute of play. Panos Prezas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Koulis Kastanidis made a huge save. Chaliαs's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
