When Argyris Kotsopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Chelsea F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Argyris Kotsopoulos couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Marinos Zotalidis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paliokhorio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Paliokhorio's goal looked a bit too open when Vaios Karachristos came free, but Alexis Kaladamis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Paliokhorio's Christos Tsolakis got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Argyris Kotsopoulos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexis Kaladamis. The goal made the score 1-1. Panos Kopsinis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Chelsea F.C getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lambis Ksagorarakis hit a great ball. Marinos Zotalidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Tylenda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marinos Zotalidis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute Marinos Zotalidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Tylenda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iosif Robos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Chelsea F.C's Vaios Karachristos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexis Kaladamis. That made the score 2-1 after 45 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 51 minutes, Argyris Kotsopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Argyris Kotsopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chelsea F.C's Lambis Ksagorarakis got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Leon Tylenda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Kopsinis in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argyris Kotsopoulos in the 59th minute of play forced Paliokhorio's goalkeeper Alexis Kaladamis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Vaios Karachristos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexis Kaladamis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paliokhorio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Chelsea F.C a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. Chelsea F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaios Karachristos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexis Kaladamis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paliokhorio's Alexis Kaladamis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argyris Kotsopoulos in the 81st minute of play. After 87 played minutes, Chelsea F.C's Russ White shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexis Kaladamis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chelsea F.C reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Vaios Karachristos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaios Karachristos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chelsea F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
