In the 5th minute Theagenis Sofos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michalis Papaggelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argyris Boulis lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When Efthimis Kokkinopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xechasmιni BC's protests and gave Efthimis Kokkinopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Efthimis Kokkinopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Achilleas Sapanis got free with Michalis Papaggelis in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Achilleas Sapanis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michalis Papaggelis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 22nd minute Efthimis Rikkas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Maerschalcx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fotis Mavroulis charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fotis Mavroulis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fotis Mavroulis hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Efthimis Rikkas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Maerschalcx having to interfere. Zinon Aggelatos struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ronald Maerschalcx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xechasmιni BC. Efthimis Rikkas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronald Maerschalcx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Zinon Aggelatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Xechasmιni BC booed when Varαkkes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofanis Pentaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Achilleas Sapanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Varαkkes getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Achilleas Sapanis hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Achilleas Sapanis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Achilleas Sapanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Michalis Papaggelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Varαkkes's Achilleas Sapanis got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Varαkkes's goalkeeper Ronald Maerschalcx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zinon Aggelatos. In the 60th minute, Efthimis Kokkinopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theofanis Pentaras kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Zinon Aggelatos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Fotis Mavroulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 77 minutes, Achilleas Sapanis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varαkkes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Achilleas Sapanis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zinon Aggelatos got free with Ronald Maerschalcx in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronald Maerschalcx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efthimis Rikkas in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Zinon Aggelatos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Varαkkes's Ronald Maerschalcx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efthimis Rikkas in the 87th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Fotis Mavroulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Xechasmιni BC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Varαkkes from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
