It was beautiful to see Pιstiani FC's Koulis Sapakis in action when he in the 11th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Alkinoos Pantazoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Aris Tsilikos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot by Giotis Boulougouris from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Paraskevas Tassiopoulos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Dimitris Tomaras came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Pιstiani FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitris Tomaras couldn't finish the play. Odysseas Koutsogiorgas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paraskevas Tassiopoulos having to interfere. Stelios Moustos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aris Tsilikos in the 27th minute of the match. Aris Tsilikos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes, Nikos Venetsianos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pιstiani FC and the Nevrovounνta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pιstiani FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nikos Venetsianos hit a great ball. The Nevrovounνta FC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Nevrovounνta FC's Alkinoos Pantazoulis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 43rd minute, Nevrovounνta FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Odysseas Koutsogiorgas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Pιstiani FC booed when Nevrovounνta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lazaros Kotopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Paraskevas Tassiopoulos managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Pιstiani FC's Odysseas Koutsogiorgas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
