Vlassis Tsirigopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Melissouryoi BC booed when Zαtouna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babbis Dellas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iosif Sepsas took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petros Saravakos. Petros Saravakos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Themis Abaris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telis Papalexis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prodromos Papadamou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Petros Saravakos. Zαtouna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Themis Abaris made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Thymios Vardoulakis sent off a good shot on target. Telis Papalexis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Zαtouna's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Sepsas came free, but Petros Saravakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Melissouryoi BC's Themis Abaris got control of the ball when Thymios Vardoulakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes, Paris Okkas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melissouryoi BC and the Zαtouna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zαtouna booed when Melissouryoi BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paris Okkas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Telis Papalexis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Iosif Sepsas made the kick off in the second half. Petros Saravakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vlassis Tsirigopoulos in the 51st minute. Thymios Vardoulakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zαtouna's Petros Saravakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Zαtouna from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Iosif Sepsas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petros Saravakos was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Petros Saravakos came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Melissouryoi BC's Vlassis Tsirigopoulos. But to his dismay, Vlassis Tsirigopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 80 played minutes Melissouryoi BC got a freekick which was hit by Loukas Xilas. In the 81st minute of the match Michalis Kritikopoulos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Themis Abaris showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Ntinos Tsesmelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melissouryoi BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zαtouna the free kick. A collision led to Melissouryoi BC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ntinos Tsesmelis hit a great ball. Telis Papalexis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Vlassis Tsirigopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vlassis Tsirigopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
