The referee ignored Λαχανόκηποι's protests and gave Sotos Kaloukos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ypsos booed when Λαχανόκηποι was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sotos Kaloukos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stratos Labaras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Rigoulias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerasimos Tsilikos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Λαχανόκηποι defense, Gerasimos Tsilikos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigoris Riganopoulos. The Λαχανόκηποι fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigoris Riganopoulos should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerasimos Tsilikos during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Ypsos got a freekick which was hit by Gerasimos Tsilikos. Grigoris Riganopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerasimos Tsilikos in the 23rd minute of the match. Stratos Labaras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alekos Chalkias in the 28th minute of the match. Thomas Kyprianos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigoris Riganopoulos having to interfere. Aimilios Pantazis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Λαχανόκηποι's goal looked a bit too open when Gerasimos Tsilikos came free, but Grigoris Riganopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Kyprianos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lazaros Stergiatos came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ypsos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lazaros Stergiatos couldn't finish the play. The Λαχανόκηποι players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ypsos were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerasimos Tsilikos was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Omiros Kalekas made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ypsos's Stratos Labaras tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 56 minutes, Vaggelis Antoniadis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ypsos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaggelis Antoniadis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aimilios Pantazis in the 59th minute of play forced Λαχανόκηποι's goalkeeper Grigoris Riganopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Grigoris Riganopoulos managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Ypsos's Gerasimos Tsilikos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerasimos Tsilikos in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grigoris Riganopoulos saved Λαχανόκηποι from getting behind. In the 64th minute, Aimilios Pantazis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gerasimos Tsilikos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Grigoris Riganopoulos was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerasimos Tsilikos got free with Grigoris Riganopoulos in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Λαχανόκηποι fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Λαχανόκηποι's Dimitris Pireotis got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 86 minutes of play, Ypsos's Gerasimos Tsilikos made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grigoris Riganopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerasimos Tsilikos scored 2-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grigoris Riganopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stratos Labaras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soulis Zacharenios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
