Marios Polymerou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alkinoos Asimakis having to interfere. Alkinoos Asimakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marios Polymerou in the 8th minute of the match. When Iakovos Markatos came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Spetses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iakovos Markatos couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Marios Polymerou made a precise shot to the right of Alkinoos Asimakis. Papadhatika FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Spetses fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Giannis Stamatellis had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Christodoulos Skebis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Marios Polymerou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alkinoos Asimakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marios Polymerou struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Alkinoos Asimakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spetses. After a defensive mix-up in Papadhatika FC's zone, Iakovos Markatos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alkinoos Asimakis came out of the goal and Iakovos Markatos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thanasis Kalogeridis made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Marinos Farmakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Iakovos Markatos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spetses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iakovos Markatos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viktoras Ntovas's late challenge caught a Spetses's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viktoras Ntovas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Papadhatika FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Viktoras Ntovas hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iakovos Markatos in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alkinoos Asimakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Spetses's Giannis Stamatellis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinos Farmakis in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Thanasis Kalogeridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giannis Stamatellis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Papadhatika FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iakovos Markatos came free, but Alkinoos Asimakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Iakovos Markatos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkinoos Asimakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Thanasis Kalogeridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th match minute, Papadhatika FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Takis Terzanidis to maneuver through the defense. Spetses were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
