In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Limassol F.C.'s goalkeeper Iason Christodoulatos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aggelos Borbokis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marios Polymerou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iason Christodoulatos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 56th minute, one of Limassol F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Limassol F.C.. If Iakovos Markatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spetses's Giannis Stamatellis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Spetses from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Christos Trachanas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iakovos Markatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Iason Christodoulatos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Minas Varveris came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Spetses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Minas Varveris couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Spetses booed when Limassol F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Trachanas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Limassol F.C.'s Iason Christodoulatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iakovos Markatos in the 74th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play Spetses's Minas Varveris was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 77 played minutes Spetses got a freekick which was hit by Minas Varveris. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacharias Kyriakidis in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giannis Stamatellis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Marios Polymerou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spetses's supporters rose to their feet, but Marios Polymerou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iason Christodoulatos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iakovos Chatziapostolou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iason Christodoulatos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Marios Polymerou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iason Christodoulatos having to interfere. Spetses's Iakovos Markatos got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marios Polymerou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iason Christodoulatos having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Spetses fully deserved thier win.
