Emmanouil Tsouloufis's late challenge caught a Skamnαkion FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emmanouil Tsouloufis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Skamnαkion FC booed when Total Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanouil Tsouloufis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Total Football defense, Bulcsú Sáfár kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sotiris Sferas. The Total Football fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sotiris Sferas should have stopped the shot. In the 43rdth minute of the game Bulcsú Sáfár who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Total Football's Sotiris Sferas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Skamnαkion FC's Bulcsú Sáfár got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bulcsú Sáfár to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Theodosis Charalambopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Total Football and the Skamnαkion FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themos Voulgaris in the 55th minute of play forced Skamnαkion FC's goalkeeper Edmond Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Total Football were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Skamnαkion FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Theodosis Charalambopoulos took the corner. In the 58th minute of the match Total Football got a corner. Skamnαkion FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Theodosis Charalambopoulos ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 59th minute Total Football were awarded a corner. Theodosis Charalambopoulos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Total Football's Themis Nistikakis to a score. 2-1 in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bulcsú Sáfár in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sotiris Sferas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Akis Tassoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Edmond Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theodosis Charalambopoulos's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After 78 minutes of play, Total Football's Stratos Iasonidis made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmond Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Total Football booed when Skamnαkion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nontas Kioubouroglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Theodosis Charalambopoulos notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Skamnαkion FC's Edmond Vieira. Edmond Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Total Football were victorious despite being under pressure from Skamnαkion FC for much of the match.
