An unexpectedly hard shot by Tasos Psariadis in the 5th minute of play forced Aris Thessaloniki's goalkeeper Evaggelos Skentzos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Spyros Kanelidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aris Thessaloniki's supporters rose to their feet, but Spyros Kanelidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostas Vasilopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Marios Grigoriadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Skentzos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikos Paltos during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vaggelis Ivanidis was the one to do the kick off. A.E.K. Evaggelos Skentzos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marios Grigoriadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Tasos Psariadis came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Evaggelos Skentzos could save by the left post. Apostolikas Maltezos hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Spyros Kanelidis struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Kostas Vasilopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aris Thessaloniki. Anthimos Koutsopoulos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, one of Aris Thessaloniki:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Aris Thessaloniki getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Giorgos Papakrivos hit a great ball. A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Panos Liapakis got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Vaggelis Ivanidis notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Kostas Vasilopoulos. Kostas Vasilopoulos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Giorgos Papakrivos kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Kostas Vasilopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaggelis Ivanidis in the 93rd minute of play. Kostas Vasilopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaggelis Ivanidis in the 96th minute of the match.
