Kleon Nioblias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simos Moulopoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Chrisostomos Kastanakis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ignatios Boulgouridis 10 minutes into the match. Ignatios Boulgouridis was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Manolis Mamakos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manolis Mamakos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When Manolis Mamakos came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Lιka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manolis Mamakos couldn't finish the play. If Chrisostomos Kastanakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chrisostomos Kastanakis in the 33rd minute of play forced Valomandrion's goalkeeper Ignatios Boulgouridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolis Mamakos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ignatios Boulgouridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chrisostomos Kastanakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kleon Nioblias in the 45th minute of play forced Lιka's goalkeeper Simos Moulopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Chrisostomos Kastanakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lιka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chrisostomos Kastanakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Valomandrion's goalkeeper Ignatios Boulgouridis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Vassilis Velatos fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lιka's protests and gave Vassilis Velatos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Vassilis Velatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 minutes, Kleon Nioblias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valomandrion and the Lιka players grew even worse after the yellow card. Simos Moulopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giotis Vissis in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Valomandrion's zone, Lazaros Symeonas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignatios Boulgouridis came out of the goal and Lazaros Symeonas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manos Passalis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ignatios Boulgouridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 64th minute of the match Manolis Mamakos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Manolis Mamakos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 64 played minutes Lιka got a freekick which was hit by Manolis Mamakos. After 69 minutes, Chrisostomos Kastanakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lιka and the Valomandrion players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lιka's Chrisostomos Kastanakis got a free kick in the 69th minute. Chrisostomos Kastanakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Valomandrion's zone, Chrisostomos Kastanakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignatios Boulgouridis came out of the goal and Chrisostomos Kastanakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chrisostomos Kastanakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
