A collision led to Zóli FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Leonidas Karkamanis hit a great ball. If Dimitris Trechalidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 5 played minutes Zóli FC got a freekick which was hit by Themos Vedinoglou. Johny F.C.'s Thomas Papagiotopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Johny F.C. booed when Zóli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themos Vedinoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Leonidas Karkamanis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Redmond. Johny F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonidas Karkamanis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Johny F.C.'s Adolfo Redmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonidas Karkamanis in the 25th minute of play. Adolfo Redmond acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marios Kalivitis. In the 34th minute, Dimitris Trechalidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Chatziantoniou Bachramis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Dimitris Trechalidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentinos Kalaboukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Redmond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonidas Karkamanis in the 42nd minute of play. Adolfo Redmond made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Anthimos Zafiriou sent off a good shot on target. Thomas Papagiotopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentinos Kalaboukas having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Johny F.C.'s Thomas Papagiotopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentinos Kalaboukas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 48th minute Dimitris Trechalidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentinos Kalaboukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Leonidas Karkamanis made the kick off in the second half. Alekos Martinakis charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alekos Martinakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Zóli FC booed when Johny F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alekos Martinakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Redmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonidas Karkamanis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 67th minute, Panos Katsapopoulos made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Redmond. Johny F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 71st minute, Dimitris Trechalidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonidas Karkamanis hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Zóli FC's goalkeeper Valentinos Kalaboukas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Papagiotopoulos. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Zóli FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Johny F.C. for much of the match.
