The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iakovos Belevonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyriakos Katsakos in the 37th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Adhrαmilos! The referee gave Koróni a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thanos Makris, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Adhrαmilos's Iakovos Belevonis. 1-1. Koróni's Kyriakos Katsakos got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Kleon Kanakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Koróni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kyriakos Katsakos to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Koróni's zone, Panos Lefkos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tasos Katsafanas came out of the goal and Panos Lefkos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kyriakos Katsakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Koróni's goalkeeper Tasos Katsafanas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panos Lefkos. 77 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Koróni's Kyriakos Katsakos fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Iakovos Belevonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyriakos Katsakos in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Koróni got a freekick which was hit by Kyriakos Katsakos. In the 83rd match minute, Koróni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alekos Magas to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Minas Karaiskos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Koróni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adhrαmilos the free kick. The supporters of Adhrαmilos booed when Koróni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Minas Karaiskos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Panos Lefkos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adhrαmilos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Lefkos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kyriakos Katsakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panos Lefkos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tasos Katsafanas having to interfere. Koróni's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
