The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thrasivoulos Gitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolas Ikonomou in the 3rd minute of play. Fanis Panagidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christos Salemenidis struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Nektarios Potiras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aslαnaga BC. After 10 played minutes Káto Lipokhórion got a freekick which was hit by Panagiotis Giannakakos. When Christos Salemenidis fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aslαnaga BC's protests and gave Christos Salemenidis a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Aslαnaga BC got a freekick which was hit by Christos Salemenidis. Thodoris Roubanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thrasivoulos Gitas having to interfere. Thrasivoulos Gitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thodoris Roubanis in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Aslαnaga BC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikolas Ikonomou came free, but Thrasivoulos Gitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Thodoris Roubanis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Káto Lipokhórion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thodoris Roubanis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nikolas Ikonomou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viktoras Katsios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Aslαnaga BC's zone, Nikolas Ikonomou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thrasivoulos Gitas came out of the goal and Nikolas Ikonomou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 45 in the game by Thodoris Roubanis from a close distance when the talented Thrasivoulos Gitas managed to make a qualified save. Aslαnaga BC's players were relieved. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

56 minutes into the game, Káto Lipokhórion's Nikolas Ikonomou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thrasivoulos Gitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aslαnaga BC's goalkeeper Thrasivoulos Gitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thodoris Roubanis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vassilis Agapidis during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolas Ikonomou in the 64th minute of play forced Aslαnaga BC's goalkeeper Thrasivoulos Gitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikolas Ikonomou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thrasivoulos Gitas having to interfere. When Nikolas Ikonomou came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Káto Lipokhórion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolas Ikonomou couldn't finish the play. Nikolas Ikonomou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Vassilis Agapidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thrasivoulos Gitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolas Ikonomou in the 81st minute of play. Thrasivoulos Gitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thodoris Roubanis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolas Ikonomou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thrasivoulos Gitas having to interfere. A collision led to Aslαnaga BC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dimitris Staikos hit a great ball. Aslαnaga BC's Thrasivoulos Gitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolas Ikonomou in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Thodoris Roubanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Káto Lipokhórion had played much better football throughout.
