After 4 played minutes Arsénion BC got a freekick which was hit by Nontas Nestoridis. Eleftherios Toskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolikas Bellos having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Arsénion BC's goal looked a bit too open when Fotis Maladenis came free, but Apostolikas Bellos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omiros Adamakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dimitris Tsebelis having to make a save. Fotis Maladenis struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Apostolikas Bellos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thanasaiika BC. 31 minutes into the match, Arsénion BC's goal looked a bit too open when Fotis Maladenis came free, but Apostolikas Bellos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fotis Maladenis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fotis Maladenis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Apostolikas Bellos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Fotis Maladenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostolikas Bellos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fotis Maladenis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 minutes of play, Thanasaiika BC's Eleftherios Toskas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apostolikas Bellos was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koulis Mallios to make the kick off. Eleftherios Toskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolikas Bellos having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Kyriakos Kopsas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thanasaiika BC and the Arsénion BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Thanasaiika BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyriakos Kopsas to maneuver through the defense. Eleftherios Toskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Apostolikas Bellos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arsénion BC's Apostolikas Bellos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleftherios Toskas in the 75th minute of play. Arsénion BC were furious when Vassilis Aggellakis was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arsénion BC! 85 minutes into the game, Arsénion BC's Panos Gonatas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitris Tsebelis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Kyriakos Kopsas hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Omiros Adamakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arsénion BC's Vaggelis Ioannou got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
