Sotiris Tsekouras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th match minute, Aiyínion BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paraskevas Matzavidis to maneuver through the defense. If Sotiris Tsekouras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Panos Vernikos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Nikánor BC's Pavlos Daniilidis got a free kick in the 14th minute. Paschalis Katakouzinos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sotiris Tsekouras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panos Vernikos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paschalis Katakouzinos having to interfere. Nikánor BC's Kyriakos Bouloukos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Nikánor BC from getting a goal against them. When Vaggelis Xilas fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nikánor BC's protests and gave Vaggelis Xilas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Nikánor BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaggelis Xilas to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes, Aiyínion BC's Pavlos Sinetopoulos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kyriakos Bouloukos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aiyínion BC reached it. Paschalis Katakouzinos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Vernikos in the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Aiyínion BC's zone, Sotiris Tsekouras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paschalis Katakouzinos came out of the goal and Sotiris Tsekouras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Aiyínion BC's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Tsekouras came free, but Paschalis Katakouzinos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikánor BC's Panos Vernikos got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 48 minutes, Panos Vernikos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nikánor BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Vernikos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Giannis Sobolos made the kick off in the second half. When Orestis Kastanakoglou fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aiyínion BC's protests and gave Orestis Kastanakoglou a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aiyínion BC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Orestis Kastanakoglou hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute Panos Vernikos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paschalis Katakouzinos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sotiris Tsekouras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Sotiris Tsekouras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paschalis Katakouzinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sotiris Tsekouras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orestis Kastanakoglou hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Dimosthenis Stefanoulis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Paschalis Katakouzinos, passed just outside the right post. Nikánor BC made a substitution. Konstantinos Travlos replaced Sakis Papachristou. Nikánor BC's Michalis Terzis was substituted for Vaggelis Xilas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Vernikos in the 69th minute of play forced Aiyínion BC's goalkeeper Paschalis Katakouzinos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sotiris Tsekouras kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giannis Sobolos in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kyriakos Bouloukos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sotiris Tsekouras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paschalis Katakouzinos having to interfere. Sotiris Tsekouras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Paschalis Katakouzinos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Panos Vernikos came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Nikánor BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Vernikos couldn't finish the play. Sotiris Tsekouras's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Paschalis Katakouzinos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sotiris Tsekourass short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Paschalis Katakouzinos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Nikánor BC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Aiyínion BC.
