The audience was convinced that Dimos Megalios's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michalis Charalambidis was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Mega Kazavition's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chatziantoniou Theodoratos in the 13th minute. Fondas Gaitatzis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Michalis Charalambidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iakovos Katsantonis during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chatziantoniou Theodoratos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michalis Charalambidis. Kassiteraν FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Mega Kazavition's Fondas Gaitatzis in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Michalis Charalambidis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Fondas Gaitatzis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Dimos Megalios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mega Kazavition's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimos Megalios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michalis Charalambidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Mega Kazavition's goal looked a bit too open when Theofanis Grigorakos came free, but Alekos Chatzipanagis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fondas Gaitatzis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michalis Charalambidis having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Alexandros Georgakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kassiteraν FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mega Kazavition the free kick. After 45 played minutes Kassiteraν FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandros Georgakis. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lambis Varelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Kassiteraν FC's Alekos Chatzipanagis threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lambis Varelis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lambis Varelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alekos Chatzipanagis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Mega Kazavition's goalkeeper Alekos Chatzipanagis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theofanis Grigorakos. In the 63rdth minute of the game Fondas Gaitatzis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kassiteraν FC's Michalis Charalambidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Theofanis Grigorakos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Alekos Chatzipanagis made a huge save. When Kassiteraν FC's Lambis Varelis in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. One of Mega Kazavition:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kassiteraν FC:s goal. Fondas Gaitatzis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Vassilis Charalambidis charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vassilis Charalambidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, Kassiteraν FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vassilis Charalambidis to maneuver through the defense. If Theofanis Grigorakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lambis Varelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Alekos Chatzipanagis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kassiteraν FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
