Ippion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ολυμπος the free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aggelos Ntovas made a kick off. Dorotheos Papakostakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kleon Portokaloglou's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iakovos Sapakis got free with Prodromos Chatzinathanail in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prodromos Chatzinathanail showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aggelos Ntovas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With 74 minutes on the clock, Antonis Kasoumis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 74 minutes into the game, one of Ολυμπος:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee ignored Ολυμπος's protests and gave Avraam Zolotas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Avraam Zolotas made a precise shot to the right of Dorotheos Papakostakis. Ippion's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 93 played minutes Ολυμπος got a freekick which was hit by Charilaos Poulis. 97 minutes into the match, Ippion's Aggelos Ntovas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prodromos Chatzinathanail narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ippion's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
