The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Errikos Vikelidis kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Nestoras Orfanidis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Argyris Louboutis. Vamvakαdhes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 6th minute Tigers were awarded a corner. Nestoras Orfanidis went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Vamvakαdhes booed when Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Notis Kounadopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestoras Zigos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lambros Megas in the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Vamvakαdhes booed when Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aris Papagiannopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lambros Megas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Vamvakαdhes's Themistoklis Stergiotis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestoras Zigos. Nestoras Zigos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Christos Kolomitrousis hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Tigers's Anestis Votsis got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestoras Zigos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themistoklis Stergiotis in the 26th minute of the match. After 28 minutes Tigers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nikolas Agathakos who took care of the corner kick. Tigers's Stergios Grigorakoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Stergios Grigorakoglou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of Vamvakαdhes booed when Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petros Loukanidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stergios Grigorakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Argyris Louboutis having to interfere. The supporters of Vamvakαdhes booed when Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petros Loukanidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Themistoklis Stergiotis was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes Tigers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nikolas Agathakos who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Vamvakαdhes getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Themistoklis Stergiotis hit a great ball. Vamvakαdhes's Argyris Louboutis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Votsis in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Tigers's Stergios Grigorakoglou made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Argyris Louboutis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Themistoklis Stergiotis came free, but Nestoras Zigos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vamvakαdhes's Lambros Megas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stergios Grigorakoglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Vamvakαdhes's Themistoklis Stergiotis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestoras Zigos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tigers's Stergios Grigorakoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Vamvakαdhes got a freekick which was hit by Timos Sakalis. The attack was good, but when Stergios Grigorakoglou in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When the final whistle sounded Tigers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vamvakαdhes.
