Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miltiadis Samoladas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Agios Akakios's Fanis Persidis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dimos Linardakis. Dimos Linardakis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Malathriα FC's Kyriakos Labrakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 16th minute Miltiadis Samoladas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miltiadis Samoladas in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the game, Kyriakos Labrakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fanis Persidis in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Malathriα FC's Dimos Linardakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Malathriα FC from getting a goal against them. Kyriakos Labrakis scored 1-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lefteris Tamiolakis during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Malathriα FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Lefteris Tamiolakis hit a great ball. Fanis Persidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Dimos Linardakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyriakos Labrakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis having to interfere. Miltiadis Samoladas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kyriakos Labrakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis having to interfere. The supporters of Malathriα FC booed when Agios Akakios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavlos Papoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Agios Akakios players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Malathriα FC were winning 1-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miltiadis Samoladas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Agios Akakios's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paris Massoutis who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Miltos Plasmas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 58 minutes into the match, Fanis Persidis notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Malathriα FC's Dimos Linardakis. Dimos Linardakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kyriakos Labrakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Malathriα FC booed when Agios Akakios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evripidis Aggeloulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 played minutes Agios Akakios got a freekick which was hit by Pavlos Papoulis. After having played for 73 minutes, Apostolos Ioannou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malathriα FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apostolos Ioannou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Christos Kostaras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malathriα FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agios Akakios the free kick. In the 75th minute, Christos Kostaras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Agios Akakios getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Errikos Skondras hit a great ball. Chatziantoniou Kakarnakis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Apostolos Ioannou showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 79 minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Agios Akakios's Apostolikas Skaltsas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimos Linardakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Malathriα FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fanis Persidis came free, but Dimos Linardakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Babbis Vovos came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Agios Akakios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babbis Vovos couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Babbis Vovos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malathriα FC's Apostolos Ioannou got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tilemachos Kavalis's late challenge caught a Malathriα FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tilemachos Kavalis helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Agios Akakios fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! When Kyriakos Labrakis came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Malathriα FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyriakos Labrakis couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Malathriα FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Agios Akakios throughout the match.
