The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gerasimos Spyrakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fivos Begnis in the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Megalon Khorion's zone, Dimitris Iatridis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aimilios Charalambopoulos came out of the goal and Dimitris Iatridis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerasimos Spyrakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Makis Tsanaklidis in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fivos Begnis in the 25th minute of play forced Perigiαlion's goalkeeper Gerasimos Spyrakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Perigiαlion's goal looked a bit too open when Fivos Begnis came free, but Gerasimos Spyrakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerasimos Spyrakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fivos Begnis in the 28th minute of the match. Perigiαlion's Gerasimos Spyrakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fivos Begnis in the 30th minute of play. Dimitris Orfanidis struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Aimilios Charalambopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perigiαlion. If Dimitris Orfanidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fivos Begnis in the 43rd minute of play forced Perigiαlion's goalkeeper Gerasimos Spyrakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fivos Begnis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fivos Begnis was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Giorgos Riganidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerasimos Spyrakis. Perigiαlion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giorgos Riganidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Dimitris Orfanidis came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Perigiαlion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitris Orfanidis couldn't finish the play. Dimitris Orfanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Themos Kakanoulias hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Fivos Begnis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gerasimos Spyrakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Makis Tsanaklidis scored 0-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerasimos Spyrakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Fivos Begnis took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Gerasimos Spyrakis to make any attempt to save it. In the 78th minute of the match Emmanouil Skrekis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aimilios Charalambopoulos skillfully saved the ball. Fivos Begnis had several of the Perigiαlion's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Gerasimos Spyrakis as he didn't even see the shot coming. Aimilios Charalambopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Iatridis's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Aimilios Charalambopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Orfanidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The Perigiαlion supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Megalon Khorion's performance. The match ended with a win for Megalon Khorion.
