An unexpectedly hard shot by Orestis Papoutsiadis in the 3rd minute of play forced Zygogiannaiika FC's goalkeeper Giannis Ksiromeritis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orestis Papoutsiadis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Giannis Ksiromeritis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Ermis Karatsolis made a precise shot to the right of Giannis Ksiromeritis. Zygogiannaiika FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ's Stamatis Skountouflas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iraklis Mavrou in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Zygogiannaiika FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Aggelos Bakosis hit a great ball. Orestis Papoutsiadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Ksiromeritis having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zygogiannaiika FC's Iraklis Mavrou got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ defense, Apostolos Bachramis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stamatis Skountouflas. The ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stamatis Skountouflas should have stopped the shot. Iraklis Mavrou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamatis Skountouflas having to interfere. In the 44th minute Giorgos Kontis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stamatis Skountouflas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stamatis Skountouflas came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Zygogiannaiika FC's Iraklis Mavrou. But to his dismay, Iraklis Mavrou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

Iraklis Mavrou might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stamatis Skountouflas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iraklis Mavrou ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iraklis Mavrou in the 55th minute of play forced ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ's goalkeeper Stamatis Skountouflas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stamatis Skountouflas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apostolos Bachramis, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orestis Papoutsiadis in the 58th minute of play forced Zygogiannaiika FC's goalkeeper Giannis Ksiromeritis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Orestis Papoutsiadis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giannis Ksiromeritis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ermis Karatsolis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermis Karatsolis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giannis Ksiromeritis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ's Nikos Stefanopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orestis Papoutsiadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Ksiromeritis having to interfere. Nikos Stefanopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giannis Ksiromeritis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orestis Papoutsiadis in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giannis Ksiromeritis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ's Orestis Papoutsiadis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 80 played minutes Zygogiannaiika FC got a freekick which was hit by Apostolos Kotsopoulos. Orestis Papoutsiadis struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Giannis Ksiromeritis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ. ΑΟ ΑΜΠΕΛΟΚΗΠΟΙ made a substitution. Demis Tsiartas replaced Anestis Chronakis. Michalis Samiamidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamatis Skountouflas having to interfere. Stamatis Skountouflas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iraklis Mavrou in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michalis Samiamidis got free with Stamatis Skountouflas in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zygogiannaiika FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
