Pythagoras F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Dionysis Bosinakos scored to the left of an out of position Petros Polichronidis, making the score, 1-0. Petros Polichronidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Periklis Bourlokas in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paris Vasalas in the 10th minute of play forced Pythagoras F.C's goalkeeper Petros Polichronidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pythagoras F.C's Petros Polichronidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paris Vasalas in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Pythagoras F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Dionysis Bosinakos came free, but Petros Polichronidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petros Polichronidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionysis Bosinakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miltos Logothetis hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Petros Polichronidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Periklis Bourlokas in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Dionysis Bosinakos suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Louis Mavrostomos during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pythagoras F.C's Louis Mavrostomos got a free kick in the 26th minute. Pythagoras F.C's Petros Polichronidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Pythagoras F.C from getting a goal against them. Footopia's Christos Mitropanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miltos Logothetis in the 28th minute of play. Petros Polichronidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avraam Kalafatakis in the 31st minute of play. 2-0 became the score in the 33rd minute when Andrzej Pietrowicz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 36 played minutes Footopia got a freekick which was hit by Andrzej Pietrowicz. Artūras Bulota charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artūras Bulota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Footopia getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Artūras Bulota hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikitas Fragou in the 39th minute of play forced Footopia's goalkeeper Christos Mitropanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Pythagoras F.C got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Petsoukis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avraam Kalafatakis during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christos Mitropanos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikitas Fragou in the 44th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Footopia defense, Omiros Plexidas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christos Mitropanos. The Footopia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christos Mitropanos should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrzej Pietrowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Pythagoras F.C got a freekick which was hit by Louis Mavrostomos. In the 52nd minute, Periklis Bourlokas made a precise shot to the right of Petros Polichronidis. Pythagoras F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Omiros Plexidas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christos Mitropanos made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Nikitas Fragou sent off a good shot on target. After 59 played minutes Pythagoras F.C got a freekick which was hit by Miltos Logothetis. 61 minutes into the match, Footopia's goal looked a bit too open when Omiros Plexidas came free, but Christos Mitropanos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Footopia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Omiros Plexidas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pythagoras F.C's Nikitas Fragou got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Omiros Plexidas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Mitropanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Pythagoras F.C's Nikitas Fragou made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christos Mitropanos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nikitas Fragou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Christos Mitropanos made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avraam Kalafatakis in the 86th minute of play forced Pythagoras F.C's goalkeeper Petros Polichronidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute of the match, Nikitas Fragou got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christos Mitropanos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
