Kavaloúri's Pavlos Maltezos was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Giorgos Xenos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kavaloúri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pantelis Tatsos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mikrσlithos's zone, Kyriakos Negris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panagiotis Staramopoulos came out of the goal and Kyriakos Negris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Giorgos Xenos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Pantelis Tatsos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panagiotis Staramopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pantelis Tatsos in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dimitris Karamitros to make the kick off. A collision led to Mikrσlithos getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Aggelos Neophytou hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Kavaloúri's Pavlos Maltezos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panagiotis Staramopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute Dimitris Karamitros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Metzelopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 60 minutes into the game, when Filippos Alexopoulos put in a rough tackle. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kavaloúri! The goalkeeper, Alekos Metzelopoulos, was totally fooled by Mikrσlithos's Thomas Michailidis, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Panagiotis Staramopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pantelis Tatsos in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Xenos in the 68th minute of play forced Mikrσlithos's goalkeeper Panagiotis Staramopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giotis Barbetakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Staramopoulos having to interfere. In the 71st minute Dimitris Karamitros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Metzelopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Dimitris Karamitros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alekos Metzelopoulos. The goal made the score 2-2. After 80 minutes, Pavlos Maltezos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kavaloúri and the Mikrσlithos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kavaloúri's Pantelis Tatsos got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pantelis Tatsos struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Panagiotis Staramopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kavaloúri. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Kyriakos Negris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kavaloúri's supporters rose to their feet, but Kyriakos Negris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panagiotis Staramopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kavaloúri's Pantelis Tatsos got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Mikrσlithos's goal looked a bit too open when Pantelis Tatsos came free, but Panagiotis Staramopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giorgos Xenos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mikrσlithos's goalkeeper Panagiotis Staramopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
