Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vaggelis Kyriakidis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Kostas Orfanopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makis Christakoglou struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Paris Maintanos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nísos Ioannínon BC. Giorgos Roussounelos lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 12th minute, Giorgos Bosoulas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vaggelis Kyriakidis came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Khortos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaggelis Kyriakidis couldn't finish the play. Paris Maintanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vassilis Efthimiou, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With his leg Stamatis Masouras managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Khortos FC's Vaggelis Kyriakidis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vaggelis Kyriakidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paris Maintanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Orfanopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Fotis Chatzidimos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Stamatis Papaloukas made the kick off in the second half. Paris Maintanos was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Stamatis Papaloukas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stamatis Papaloukas really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After 58 played minutes Nísos Ioannínon BC got a freekick which was hit by Makis Christakoglou. After a defensive mix-up in Nísos Ioannínon BC's zone, Vaggelis Kyriakidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stamatis Masouras came out of the goal and Vaggelis Kyriakidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khortos FC's Vaggelis Kyriakidis got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Nísos Ioannínon BC got a freekick which was hit by Vassilis Efthimiou. The supporters of Nísos Ioannínon BC booed when Khortos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fanis Sapakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes, Petros Anastasakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Khortos FC and the Nísos Ioannínon BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Petros Anastasakis kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With a little luck, Khortos FC's Paris Maintanos got control of the ball when Kostas Orfanopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Nísos Ioannínon BC's Paris Maintanos threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stamatis Papaloukas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 94 minutes into the match, Khortos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stamatis Papaloukas came free, but Paris Maintanos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nísos Ioannínon BC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
