Efthimis Balaouras came out of the goal and Michalis Vogiaris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thalis Voskopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nasos Kontodimos having to interfere. A collision led to Karasoϊli getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Filippos Papakostopoulos hit a great ball. PAO METS's Markos Papadakoglou couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Karasoϊli. PAO METS's Nasos Kontodimos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save PAO METS from getting a goal against them. A collision led to PAO METS getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Timos Benos hit a great ball. A collision led to Karasoϊli getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Periklis Apostolakis hit a great ball. Efthimis Balaouras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthimos Pontikas in the 45th minute of the match. Lefteris Vakalis might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nasos Kontodimos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lefteris Vakalis ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lefteris Vakalis made a kick off. Efthimis Balaouras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Vogiaris in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Grigoris Paltoudakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nasos Kontodimos was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Michalis Vogiaris might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efthimis Balaouras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nasos Kontodimos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigoris Paltoudakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind PAO METS's goalkeeper Nasos Kontodimos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Timos Benos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th play minute Anthimos Pontikas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Efthimis Balaouras. 1-1. After a rather tough play, PAO METS's Evaggelos Kouradakis got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lefteris Vakalis in the 84th minute of play forced PAO METS's goalkeeper Nasos Kontodimos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Michalis Vogiaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
