Alexandros Kostarelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Vathνremma BC booed when Khσnikas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akis Chatzakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Vathνremma BC's Manos Potamias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandros Kostarelos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Eleftherios Papatsakalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Giorgos Kalapodas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, Stefanos Lakerdas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Khσnikas FC and the Vathνremma BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Khσnikas FC's Stefanos Lakerdas got a free kick in the 19th minute. Alexandros Kostarelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ntinos Tsigas in the 21st minute of the match. Manos Potamias took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandros Kostarelos. Alexandros Kostarelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Manos Potamias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akis Chatzakis's late challenge caught a Vathνremma BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Akis Chatzakis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vathνremma BC booed when Khσnikas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akis Chatzakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vathνremma BC's Manos Potamias in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Khσnikas FC's goalie prevented a goal. During the 32nd minute of the match Akis Chatzakis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Akis Chatzakis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 33rd minute, Akis Chatzakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manos Potamias struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Alexandros Kostarelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vathνremma BC. Eleftherios Papatsakalos charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eleftherios Papatsakalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Vathνremma BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleftherios Papatsakalos to maneuver through the defense. Ntinos Tsigas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Vathνremma BC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manos Potamias to make the kick off. If Ntinos Tsigas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Khσnikas FC booed when Vathνremma BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Anagnostopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Khσnikas FC's Marinos Kouloucheris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diogenis Mavros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ntinos Tsigass short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Alexandros Kostarelos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Ntinos Tsigas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandros Kostarelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manos Potamias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 played minutes Khσnikas FC got a freekick which was hit by Alkis Mylonas. Ntinos Tsigas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Vathνremma BC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
