The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Omiros Boukas kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tavla BC's Vrasidas Sapanis got a free kick in the 6th minute. Giorgos Digozis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tilemachos Mimidis having to interfere. Fragiskos Rigatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fragiskos Rigatos sped through Tavla BC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aggelos Barberopoulos. Vrasidas Sapanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tilemachos Mimidis having to interfere. Vrasidas Sapanis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tilemachos Mimidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Fragiskos Rigatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aggelos Barberopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tilemachos Mimidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Digozis in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Tavla BC booed when Arila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanouil Kofidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fragiskos Rigatos in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aggelos Barberopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Tavla BC's goal looked a bit too open when Fragiskos Rigatos came free, but Aggelos Barberopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vrasidas Sapanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tilemachos Mimidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aggelos Barberopoulos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fragiskos Rigatos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 47 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vrasidas Sapanis to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Vrasidas Sapanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tilemachos Mimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tavla BC's Aggelos Barberopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themistoklis Kalamarakis in the 60th minute of play. Lambis Piperoglou hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Arila's Themistoklis Kalamarakis got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fragiskos Rigatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Aggelos Barberopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arila's Fragiskos Rigatos got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aggelos Barberopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Rigatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Aggelos Barberopoulos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Themistoklis Kalamarakis went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Themistoklis Kalamarakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giorgos Digozis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimitris Anastasatos kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Aggelos Barberopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fragiskos Rigatos in the 94th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Arila fully deserved thier win.
