Arila's Tilemachos Mimidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Arila from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Krioneri FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fragiskos Rigatos came free, but Antonis Efthimiadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonis Efthimiadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Rigatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vassilis Lakerdas got free with Tilemachos Mimidis in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Pavlakakis in the 41st minute of play forced Arila's goalkeeper Tilemachos Mimidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fragiskos Rigatos made a kick off. Krioneri FC's Vassilis Lakerdas got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Charis Pavlakakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tilemachos Mimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Iakovos Venetis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Krioneri FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iakovos Venetis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
