Stratos Kladis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Apostolos Masouras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telis Varvouzanis in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Ignatios Bouzoukis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Koutselion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mourtia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Koutselion's Ignatios Bouzoukis got a free kick in the 15th minute. Fanis Kouretas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenios Karpouzis, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Mourtia's goal looked a bit too open when Ignatios Bouzoukis came free, but Fanis Kouretas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ilias Kalamaropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mourtia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilias Kalamaropoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apostolos Masouras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Koutselion's zone, Ilias Kalamaropoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apostolos Masouras came out of the goal and Ilias Kalamaropoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Mourtia getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tolis Matsaggos hit a great ball. Apostolos Masouras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telis Varvouzanis in the 34th minute of play. After 43 minutes of play Koutselion's Ignatios Bouzoukis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Koutselion getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ignatios Bouzoukis hit a great ball. Apostolos Masouras made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ilias Kalamaropoulos sent off a good shot on target. Telis Varvouzanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Apostolos Masouras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenios Karpouzis made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Koutselion's goal looked a bit too open when Ilias Kalamaropoulos came free, but Apostolos Masouras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Panos Zarzopoulos fired a really elegant long shot, but Fanis Kouretas threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post.
