Miltiadis Markopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miltiadis Markopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Miltiadis Markopoulos hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Lakis Labrousis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 34th minute of the game Christos Spyrakoglou made a throw-in which Akis Kyriopoulos played forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miltiadis Markopoulos in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stergios Pathiakakis saved LATZIO FC from getting behind. After 44 played minutes ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ got a freekick which was hit by Evaggelos Koufaliotis. After the first half ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miltiadis Markopoulos made a kick off. Giannis Sofos hit a great ball. Miltiadis Markopoulos was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of LATZIO FC booed when ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee ignored ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ's protests and gave Giannis Sofos a yellow card for diving instead. 88 minutes into the match, LATZIO FC's goalkeeper Stergios Pathiakakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giannis Sofos. Thalis Prasomouris scored 3-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aris Fragakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
