Trigσn's Telis Chronakis got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zisis Karamichalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Simos Koutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Telis Chronakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zisis Karamichalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simos Koutos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telis Chronakis in the 13th minute of the match. If Marinos Konstantinoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arínista's Marinos Konstantinoulis got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Arínista got a freekick which was hit by Lakis Katsapopoulos. In the 34th minute, Grigoris Zotalidis made a precise shot to the right of Makis Vrettakos. Trigσn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Makis Vrettakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marinos Konstantinoulis in the 39th minute of play. Makis Vrettakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grigoris Zotalidis in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marinos Konstantinoulis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Arínista's zone, Telis Chronakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simos Koutos came out of the goal and Telis Chronakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Grigoris Zotalidis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Trigσn's Makis Vrettakos. Makis Vrettakos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 69th minute Marinos Konstantinoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Makis Vrettakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Makis Vrettakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigoris Zotalidis in the 75th minute of the match. Makis Vrettakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marinos Konstantinoulis in the 78th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Zisis Karamichalos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trigσn's supporters rose to their feet, but Zisis Karamichalos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simos Koutos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st match minute, Trigσn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkis Kalekas to maneuver through the defense. When Nontas Roditis came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Arínista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nontas Roditis couldn't finish the play. After 87 minutes, Sakis Belidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trigσn and the Arínista players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zisis Karamichalos got free with Simos Koutos in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Telis Chronakiss short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Simos Koutos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arínista had won after a very even match.
