Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Miltiadis Poursaitidis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Giorgos Benetatos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thebae's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Khalνkia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Thebae's Giorgos Benetatos got a free kick in the 4th minute. Miltiadis Poursaitidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th match minute, Khalνkia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lambis Karoubalis to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes, Thebae's Petros Ntaraklitsas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nikolas Kounelakis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Thebae reached it. Manolis Markatos hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When Miltiadis Poursaitidis came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Khalνkia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miltiadis Poursaitidis couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Khalνkia getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Lambis Karoubalis hit a great ball. Dimitris Stroggilos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Charilaos Tikellis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Dimitris Stroggilos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thebae's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimitris Stroggilos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 played minutes Thebae got a freekick which was hit by Michalis Kouroupetroglou. When Miltiadis Poursaitidis came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Khalνkia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miltiadis Poursaitidis couldn't finish the play. If Miltiadis Poursaitidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giannis Papagrigoriou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vaggelis Tachtsidis. Thebae's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leonidas Protopapadakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Vaggelis Tachtsidis made a huge save. Nikolas Kounelakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Benetatos in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dimitris Stroggilos to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Giorgos Benetatos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikolas Kounelakis. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Khalνkia's Iosif Papasotiriou got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 64 minutes of play, Khalνkia's Miltiadis Poursaitidis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vaggelis Tachtsidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dimitris Stroggilos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolas Kounelakis having to interfere. If Miltiadis Poursaitidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaggelis Tachtsidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltiadis Poursaitidis in the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Giorgos Benetatos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thebae's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Benetatos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolas Kounelakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Thebae players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Khalνkia.
