The supporters of Solomσs booed when Panathinaikos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Milner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panathinaikos F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Panos Venetidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 20th minute, Achilleas Banasopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panos Venetidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Kefalogiannis having to interfere. Menios Angos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Panathinaikos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Errikos Bourantas to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Menios Angos was the one to do the kick off. In the 60thth minute of the game Michalis Papamichail who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Solomσs's Andreas Beloutsis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Panos Venetidis struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Iosif Kefalogiannis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Solomσs. The crowd rose to their feet as Michalis Papamichail kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andreas Beloutsis. That made the score 1-1 in the 65 minute of play. Iosif Kefalogiannis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menios Angos in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Stratos Christidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iosif Kefalogiannis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renos Christodoulou, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes in the game, Michalis Papamichail fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Andreas Beloutsis having to interfere. Achilleas Banasopoulos struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Andreas Beloutsis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panathinaikos F.C. Achilleas Banasopoulos in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Andreas Beloutsis came out of the goal and Achilleas Banasopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
