The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Valerios Kastanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Errikos Fotiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 minutes of play, Mastrogiαnnion BC's Vassilis Pirovolakis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Errikos Fotiou was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mastrogiαnnion BC were furious when Nikos Giannakakos was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 12 minutes into the game, one of Mastrogiαnnion BC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Mastrogiαnnion BC's zone, Sotiris Kafkalas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lakis Bousoulas came out of the goal and Sotiris Kafkalas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alketas Prezerakos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sotiris Kafkalas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lakis Bousoulas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Thanasis Pentasferos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thanasis Pentasferos in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Errikos Fotiou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vassilis Pirovolakis scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Errikos Fotiou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Alketas Prezerakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KANARINIA FC's Renos Tzanetos got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thanasis Pentasferos in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Errikos Fotiou saved KANARINIA FC from getting behind. Errikos Fotiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanasis Pentasferos in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vassilis Pirovolakis in the 41st minute of play forced KANARINIA FC's goalkeeper Errikos Fotiou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thanasis Pentasferos to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanasis Pentasferos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Errikos Fotiou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Mastrogiαnnion BC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
