Aggelos Katsavos might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cedric Latomme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The tension between the Khαrkia FC and the tsoutsounelos Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sakis Poulis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eustratios Mavrogenidis. Khαrkia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cedric Latomme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignatios Garpozis in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, tsoutsounelos Academy's Eustratios Giannoulis got a free kick in the 12th minute. tsoutsounelos Academy's Cedric Latomme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save tsoutsounelos Academy from getting a goal against them. Akis Platakis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Fragiskos Zacharioudakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. tsoutsounelos Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Fragiskos Zacharioudakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustratios Mavrogenidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gerasimos Magginas fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored tsoutsounelos Academy's protests and gave Gerasimos Magginas a yellow card for diving instead. 26 minutes into the game, one of tsoutsounelos Academy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 33rd minute, Ignatios Garpozis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cedric Latomme was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Zacharias Trobetas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Mavrogenidis having to interfere. Aggelos Katsavos hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fragiskos Zacharioudakis to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fragiskos Zacharioudakis in the 53rd minute of play forced Khαrkia FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Mavrogenidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fragiskos Zacharioudakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akis Platakis hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. tsoutsounelos Academy's Cedric Latomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fondas Kostarakis in the 60th minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, tsoutsounelos Academy's Zacharias Trobetas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eustratios Mavrogenidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute Ignatios Garpozis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedric Latomme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to tsoutsounelos Academy getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Fragiskos Zacharioudakis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Khαrkia FC's Iraklis Tzolis got a free kick in the 74th minute. Fragiskos Zacharioudakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fragiskos Zacharioudakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Mavrogenidis having to interfere. If Zacharias Trobetas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Khαrkia FC's Fondas Kostarakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cedric Latomme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Aggelos Katsavos's late challenge caught a tsoutsounelos Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aggelos Katsavos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of tsoutsounelos Academy booed when Khαrkia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aggelos Katsavos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ignatios Garpozis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cedric Latomme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fondas Kostarakis in the 93rd minute of play. Cedric Latomme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fondas Kostarakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Khαrkia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
