Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Panos Karagiozoglou to make the kick off. Kakkoulion BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christodoulos Lazariou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thodoris Matzios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The goalkeeper, Thodoris Matzios, was totally fooled by Kakkoulion BC's Kosmas Stavropodis, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 70thth minute of the game Stathis Pezos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dhonιοka BC's Thodoris Matzios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zinon Chatzievaggellou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stathis Pezos couldn't finish the play. Dhonιοka BC's Vlassis Romanidis suffered a sore thigh after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christos Mersinias during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Christos Mersinias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kakkoulion BC's Stathis Pezos got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Giorgos Kalabosis fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dhonιοka BC's protests and gave Giorgos Kalabosis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kakkoulion BC booed when Dhonιοka BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Kalabosis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Kakkoulion BC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dhonιοka BC.
