The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Real Betis Balompié's Alexandros Preftokis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Perakakis in the 3rd minute of play. Stefanos Oustabasidis hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 11 played minutes Real Betis Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Lazaros Markos. In the 17thth minute of the game Babbis Perakakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Betis Balompié's Alexandros Preftokis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Iosif Gazis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes of play, Mandαlovon FC's Babbis Perakakis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandros Preftokis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Iosif Gazis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Betis Balompié's supporters rose to their feet, but Iosif Gazis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iason Giannikos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tasos Zacharis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iason Giannikos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Real Betis Balompié's Alexandros Preftokis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theocharis Nikolopoulos in the 32nd minute of play. Alexandros Preftokis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiros Gaitanakos in the 33rd minute of play. When Tasos Zacharis came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Real Betis Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tasos Zacharis couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Real Betis Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Theocharis Nikolopoulos came free, but Alexandros Preftokis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Real Betis Balompié players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mandαlovon FC were winning 0-1.

If Iosif Gazis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexandros Preftokis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theocharis Nikolopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Anastasios Roumelos from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Alexandros Preftokis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Paraskevas Platis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Alexandros Preftokis made a huge save. Babbis Perakakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Real Betis Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Theocharis Nikolopoulos came free, but Alexandros Preftokis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Real Betis Balompié's Alexandros Preftokis got control of the ball when Paraskevas Platis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandros Preftokis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Babbis Perakakis in the 80th minute. Tasos Zacharis struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Iason Giannikos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Betis Balompié. The Real Betis Balompié manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Mandαlovon FC to win.
