If Argyris Borelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zálongon getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Stavros Kopanaras hit a great ball. In the 13th match minute, Zálongon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fanis Zervos to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Stavros Kopanaras notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ FC's Menelaos Tserkesidis. Menelaos Tserkesidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zálongon's Alekos Vallas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Minas Nikolopoulos in the 19th minute of play. Dionysis Panagis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Alekos Vallas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 23 minutes into the game, Argyris Borelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zálongon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ FC the free kick. After 23 played minutes Zálongon got a freekick which was hit by Argyris Borelis. Konstantinos Ifantidis hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Argyris Borelis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. After some careless play in the Zálongon defense, Minas Nikolopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alekos Vallas. The Zálongon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alekos Vallas should have stopped the shot. A collision led to ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Minas Nikolopoulos hit a great ball. Menelaos Tserkesidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stavros Kopanaras went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Menelaos Tserkesidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantinos Ifantidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The supporters of ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ FC booed when Zálongon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themos Gikas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zálongon were winning 1-2.

Menelaos Tserkesidis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giannis Fanopoulos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 62 minute of play. Giannis Fanopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Alexis Pourliotopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Vallas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Trifon Samios came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ FC fans jumped to their feet. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Zálongon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
