The supporters of Paparians booed when Zálongon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantinos Ifantidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Paparians's zone, Stavros Kopanaras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stratos Karakonstantinou came out of the goal and Stavros Kopanaras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Argyris Borelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stratos Karakonstantinou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Konstantinos Stamatelopoulos struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Alekos Vallas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paparians. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Argyris Borelis was the one to do the kick off. Stavros Kopanaras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stratos Karakonstantinou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Zinon Pachidis hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If Stavros Kopanaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Argyris Borelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stratos Karakonstantinou having to interfere. Stavros Kopanaras did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Stratos Karakonstantinou 68 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Konstantinos Gialesakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Vallas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Zálongon getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Giannis Fanopoulos hit a great ball. If Konstantinos Stamatelopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giannis Fanopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Argyris Borelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zálongon's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
